Kuvaus

Olen aina rakastanut öljyvärejä niiden syvyyden ja tekniikan vuoksi —öljyvärimaalauksessa ei ole oikoteitä, ja maalin pitkä kuivumisaika on olennainen osa prosessia! Työstin In Bloom -julisteen alkuperäisen teoksen palettiveitsillä pellavakangaspohjalle. Palettiveitset mahdollistavat rennompaa jälkeä ja vahvempaa tekstuuria verrattuna siveltimiin, ja siksi ne ovat ehdottomat suosikkivälineeni. In Bloom -kuvituksen inspiraationa on kesäinen puutarha, joka on täynnä eri lajien kukintoja ja kukkien tuoksua. Day-versiossa kukat kylpevät auringon lämmössä ja kirkkaissa väreissä, ja vastaavasti Night-versiossa puutarha tunnelma on kesäyön viileydessä.

I have always been captivated by oil colors for their depth and the patience they require; there are no shortcuts in this medium—the paint takes its own time to dry! The original artwork for In Bloom is an oil painting on linen canvas. Instead of using brushes, I opt for palette knives to create a more relaxed imprint and richer texture. The inspiration for the In Bloom illustration comes from a summer garden filled with various types of flowers and their fragrances. In the Day version, the flowers bask in the warmth of the sun and vibrant colors, while in the Night version, the atmosphere of the garden reflects the coolness of a summer night.
